CHRIS PAUL FOR SHERIFF

My name is Chris Paul, candidate for Sheriff with over 20 years of experience in fighting crime in Macon-Bibb County. Our county is in dire need of a Sheriff who will take the lead and ensure the safety of Macon-Bibb County’s citizens by eradicating crime and gang activity from all neighborhoods. It’s time to unequivocally state that the current Macon-Bibb Sheriff, David Davis, has let our community down. His lack of leadership has left our community vulnerable and led to the departure of numerous well-trained and highly motivated veteran deputies, both on patrol and in corrections, to other agencies surrounding Macon-Bibb County. The Bibb County Jail is neither adequately staffed nor properly secured and this has lead to two recent incidents that endangered our community. Our homicide rate has increased nearly every year since consolidation in 2014. Sheriff Davis is unwilling to let go of outdated ideas and practices that no longer work. He is out of touch not only with the citizens who really need a working sheriff, but also the deputies and civilians under his command. In all the reasons given for our community being unsafe, there is one common denominator and that is Sheriff David Davis. It’s time for a new Sheriff, Chris Paul. Vote to elect Chris Paul in 2024.
